Captain Spins Casino

On paper it looks like things are just about as generous as they get. However, time spent around online casinos should tell you that you should never take things at face value. There are always strings attached. Sure, sometimes they’re totally harmless, but other times they mean the offer is no longer worth your while. That’s why we always take a closer look!

All in the offer from Captain Spins is an enticing 100% deposit cash match, up to C$1200, with 260 Free Spins thrown in on top. This isn’t all handed out at once, it’s actually split over the new player’s first four deposits, like this:

• First Deposit of 100% match up to C$300, plus 50 free spins
• Second Deposit of 100% match up to C$300, plus 60 free spins
• Third Deposit of 100% match up to C$300, plus 70 free spins
• Fourth Deposit of 100% match up to C$300, plus 80 free spins

Unfortunately players don’t have free rein over where to use their Free Spins. These must be played on Book of Dead from Play’n GO – which luckily is one of the top slots out there right now. So what other pesky T&C’s come attached to the bonus? I’ve made a quick list:

• Bonus wagering requirements are 35 x, which is fairly reasonable
• Wagering only applies to scratch cards, keno and slots at a rate of 100% (a small number of slots will only contribute 20%, so check the latest terms)
• Free Spins must be used up within 24 hours of activation
• Winnings from Free Spins are capped at C$100
• Additionally, all winnings from Free Spins must also be wagered at 35 x, which is a little disappointing

Captain Spins is home to an extraordinarily huge range of providers, from really big names, to lesser known game studios. This allows for a diverse range of on-site entertainment across really popular titles, and the opportunity to discover a new favorite. Don’t believe me about the diversity? Take a look for yourselves:

I should also point out that this list isn’t complete, I summarized the full range to avoid brain overload. And what about the actual entertainment? There are over 1,500 games in total. These are mainly a combination of Slots, Scratch Cards and Jackpots. There are also some Table Games (like multiple kinds of Poker, Punto Banco and Baccarat) and Live Casino options if you need the occasional change of pace.

Live Casino comes from Evolution Gaming, and while the range is the largest on there, it’s enough to keep things interesting. Players can choose to play classics like Roulette, Blackjack and Poker, but they can also opt for modern adaptations like Deal or No Deal, Dream Catcher and Football Studio.

Unlike many online casinos, Captain Spins is pretty upfront about what its loyalty program entails. It might not be the most original structure in the world, but it does offer a fair bit of value to repeat visitors.

It’s a tiered program that allows you to work your way up to Captain Status – but you won’t immediately get classed as a VIP player. Points start accruing automatically from registration. You’ll then get ranked based on your gameplay, which hopefully means you’ll be designated a potential VIP (or POTVIP as the dashing Captain calls it). Once reached, it’s not an eternal status, you only get 3 months before you either progress or reset.

As a POTVIP you’ll get some benefits, like a dedicated host — but not much more. The real value lies in escaping POTVIP and entering VIP territory.

After 3 months at POTVIP level, you’ll hopefully be invited to become a VIP. Here you’ll be able to climb ranks and unlock benefits along the way such as:

• Dedicated after-hours VIP support line
• Higher value bonuses
• Cashback deals
• VIP only promotions, including sporting events, cruises and holidays
• Invitations to global roadshows
• Cash drops
• Faster withdrawal times and higher limits
• Earn loyalty points at a faster rate

Captain Spins is Canada-friendly, which means that players will have an easy time of withdrawing and depositing. And regardless of what your preference is, you’ll find something that suits you to a tee!

Customer support at Captain Spins is available around the clock through Live Chat, so it’s irrelevant where the actual team is based. So long as players can connect with english speakers who can quickly resolve any issues, geography doesn’t matter.

Not only is the team at Casino Spins highly efficient (as per online player forums), but they also offer their services in French, which will suit all those Francophone Canadians out there. Players can also resort to Email if they prefer an exchange with a little more formality. The remaining option is to scan the FAQs, which are a little cluttered for my liking.

The pros are definitely longer than the cons with Captain Spins. I’ll tell you about the cons first, because I always prefer to start with bad news. The welcome bonus, while tempting, is a little too restricted for my liking. Free Spin winnings are capped and subject to the same wagering requirements as the bonus. The game selection is awesome is you like slots and instants, but not if you’re here for table games and live casino.

On the upside there are a number of trustworthy payment options, the site has a good reputation and customer support is a 24 hour English and French affair. Captain, I think we have lift off!
