Casino GB

Today, we’re introducing you to Casino BG, an online casino that is seemingly geared toward players from Great Britain, but actually Canadian players can get in on the fun as well.

So, we set out and had a close look at this ProgressPlay operated online casino, to find out all about the welcome bonus, other promotions, the game selection and all the other things related to playing at an online casino. Read on below to find out more in our review and decide whether you’d want to spend some of your hard-earned Canadian dollars at Casino GB.

If you register an account at Casino GB and make your first deposit, the online casino will double it up to a bonus amount of $200. If you deposit $200, you can then enjoy a 100% bonus and start playing with a total of $400. This is not a great start into your journey at Casino GB. This bonus is about as bland as unsalted food and won’t make any player jump up and down. Nowadays, you would expect any online casino to give you a proper welcome package, that gives you bonuses in four figures and some free spins to boot, but at Casino GB you get nothing of this sort. A match up bonus is nice and all, but if this casino wants to keep up with the competitors, it should really step up its game.

Wednesday Wildfire

If you’re unhappy with your welcome bonus, like most players probably will be, you still have the chance to receive a consolation prize from Casino GB. If you’re one of the chosen new players (and the criteria for this choosing remain an utter mystery), you’ll receive an email, congratulation you on your Wednesday Wildfire bonus. According to the casino, this is a tailored bonus that gets dished out to some of its newest players on Wednesdays.

VIP Club

Once you’re not a new player anymore and have proven that you’re serious about playing in an online casino you might make your way up the VIP ladder. To ascend to the highest level of diamond VIP, you’ll have to collect many loyalty points and you get 1 for each $16 that you wager in the casino. VIP status obviously comes with some perks, such as faster payouts, a private customer support and birthday and anniversary bonuses

The game selection doesn’t exactly scream top-notch, but you do have your standard fare of Microgaming slots. Other than that, it’s mostly smaller studios like ELK, Skillzz Gaming, Blueprint Gaming and Warehouse. If you haven’t heard of those providers yet, we don’t blame you, but they do offer some nice games, that you might want to check out. Apart from the slots, there’s also jackpot games, table games and a very limited live casino.

Slot Games at Casino GB

When you go to the slots section, you can filter the games by their provider. Funnily enough, the list omits a bunch of available studios, most notably Microgaming, which does indeed provide slots at Casino GB. If you want to find a game directly, you can use the search bar and just type in the name. Notable slots at the casino include the Hollywood satire Bloopers by ELK studios and the quirky Birdz by Warehouse. If you want to keep to the classics, Immortal Romance or Game of Thrones might be more up your alley.

Table Games at Casino GB

The table games tab includes everything from different blackjack and roulette games, to more obscure offerings like dice games. All the offered games seem a bit outdated and overloaded, but you at least have a decent selection. Unfortunately, that can’t be said for the live casino, which offers a sad selection of only five games, once you disregard the NetEnt Live tables that can’t be played in Canada. The remaining five tables are offered by Extreme Gaming and comprise of three roulette games and two blackjack games. We expect better of our online casinos.

Progressive Jackpot Slots at Casino GB

The jackpots section is firmly in the hands of Microgaming, with classics such as King Cashalot and Treasure Nile making an appearance. When applicable, you can see the current jackpot size on the preview image and when we wrote this review the average was well into five figure numbers. There’s only 7 jackpots available and a bigger selection of both games and providers would have been nice. But the offered jackpots do offer a nice starting point for your quest to win big.

High – The wagering requirements are quite high with 50x in 30 days. This means you will have to wager $10,000 for your $200 welcome bonus and that seems almost impossible, when you take into consideration that only slots count 100% towards those requirements and you cannot wager more than $5 for a single spin when wagering a bonus. Casino GB clearly doesn’t want you to succeed here.

The withdrawal amount is also capped at 5 times the initial bonus plus $20, which means that even with the maximum bonus amount, you’ll never be able to withdraw more than $1,020 which makes the wagering of $10,000 even more like a Whac-A-Mole game that’s just not worth the effort.

The payment options are fairly standard at Casino GB. You have your credit cards, Visa, Mastercard and Maestro and a bunch of e-wallets, such as Trustly, Skrill and Neteller. The Paysafecard is also an option for deposits at least and Canadian players will rejoice at the prospective of being able to also use ecoPayz to make and receive payments. Minimum deposit amounts range between $10 and $20, while you have to withdraw a minimum of $20. It might take Casino GB up to 3 business days to even start processing your withdrawal, which will then take another day. That is quite a long time that you have to wait for a withdrawal that should be worked on asap.

You can chat with or email the customer support team 24/7 if you should come against any problems at Casino GB and the friendly staff really knows what they’re doing. They will patiently answer all your questions and get back to you quickly when you have a slightly more complicated issue. If you’re not feeling like human interaction, you can also consult the FAQ section, which should give you answers to the most common questions.

No! We have to say, we’re not impressed with Casino GB. Not only is it missing a unique identity, but the identity it has taken on is also rather bland and not exciting at all. That starts with the lame welcome bonus and its strict wagering requirements and continues on to the sad live casino with only five games. We will say that the selection of slots isn’t half bad and the mobile casino, customer service and banking options don’t leave much to complain about. But in our day and age when new online casinos keep popping up every day, you just have to do better than that. Casino GB is a solid online casino at the end of the day, but if you’ve seen any other ProgressPlay casino, you’ve seen them all and this one won’t bring anything new to the table.
