Maneki Casino

Maneki-neko is that lucky cat we see so often curling its little paw at us from the windows of South East Asian shops and restaurants. It is said to bring good fortune to its owners. And just like the iconic beckoning cat that gives it its name, Maneki Casino, a super-cute Asian-themed online casino established in 2019, promises to bring its players plenty of riches.

Beyond feline matters, the online casino has an ever-increasing catalogue of over 2,900 games, so it seems like players aren’t exactly going to be stuck for choice. But as we know, the best online casinos consist of way more than game options, so we’re diving straight in to the nitty gritty, looking for potential red flags and making sure that the Malta Gaming Authority-licensed Maneki Casino is fully up to scratch.

What are the highlights of Maneki Casino?

• Generous welcome bonus split over several deposits
• Multiple-tiered VIP loyalty club
• Ever-changing promotions and competitions
• Accepts CAD

Maneki Casino’s welcome packages is split over your first three deposits. And if you’re a bit of a big spender, the casino also offers a high roller welcome bonus that will give you 50% on top of your deposit up to C$1,000. But the minimum deposit is also C$1,000 so you have to be ready to part with a decent chunk of change.

To keep their players coming back for more, Maneki Casino works hard to put on a constant stream of promotions, covering everything from weekly bonuses, lotteries, competitions and tournaments. So even if you were to check in daily, there’d always be something new available to keep you entertained — and hopefully in the money!

Enter the Lucky Cat VIP Loyalty Club. No, this isn’t a seedy gentleman’s club off the Vegas strip. It’s Maneki Casino’s way of rewarding players who stick around for the fun. It kicks in from the first day you sign up, so you can start racking up points right from the get go.

The 7-tier loyalty program works on a points basis, and you collect these every time you play on the site. The more points you have the higher you climb to reach different levels of VIP treatment (white, yellow, orange, green blue, purple, black). The top of the ladder is called — wait for it — Master Samurai Cat. Now who wouldn’t want that title?

Gaining this prestigious moniker (or even the ones below) comes with a host of benefits including your own account manager, faster payouts, extra spins, birthday treats, lower wagering requirements and so on. But most valuable of all is the ability to convert your points into real money.

With close to 3,000 games on the books, Maneki Casino isn’t exactly running short on variety. But as we know it’s about more than just numbers. Quality is more important than quantity and, more importantly, the developers need to be compatible with Canadian players.

Luckily this is one casino that works hard to cater for its players from all over the globe, diversifying its provider list so that there’s plenty of options for everyone. You’ll have access to the latest and greatest hits from the likes of Evolution Gaming, Yggdrasil, Betsoft, Pragmatic Play, and many more.

You’ll be able to find a game for you no matter your mood or what you like to play. Choose from slots, jackpots, video poker, a huge selection of table games (blackjack, baccarat, roulette, dragon tiger and more), and even have access to Live Casino for that in the flesh experience.

The gaming catalogue is also super simple to comb through thanks to some easy to use filters. So whether you’re a fan of electronic spins, or you prefer to hit the felt in real time, everything’s waiting behind this lucky cat’s doors.

So let’s begin with the only negative I could pick up on — there’s no dedicated app. So if this is something you look for in exchange for your loyalty, you will be disappointed. The site itself is responsive and does work well on mobile, it’s just not as efficient as an app would be. Most of the games are available to try for free in demo mode, which is a really nice feature, giving you the chance to narrow down a few favorite games before going ahead with real money.

Visually, the site is bright and quite arresting. Red is core palette color and it’s used quite liberally on every page. Considering the huge amount of information left on the homepage, the site manages to remain neat and well sectioned, demonstrating that UX was a huge consideration. Its single page design makes navigation simple, and the clear labelling meant I immediately found where I wanted to go.

And let’s be honest, the main reason we spend time on online casinos is the anticipation of winning. That means a simple method of paying in and paying out is super important. Canadians frequently have a tough time transacting with online casinos, particularly with those domiciled in Europe. Thankfully Maneki Casino has taken care of this issue by implementing a wide range of payment options to suit every type of player. Canadians can make a selection from EcoPayz, Interac, MasterCard, Skrill, Visa, Trustly, and so many more. Just visit the site to get to full range.

How long does it take to withdraw money at Maneki Casino?

Withdrawal times are advertised as being processed within 24 hours, which is a lot better than the time offered by many other online casinos. The minimum deposit is C$10, while the maximum withdrawal amount is C$4,000 per transaction, which ought to keep even some of the high rollers happy.

Like to have a nice chat on the phone? Well that won’t be possible with Maneki Casino. But this isn’t a disaster because you’ll still have access to 24 hour Live Chat (and almost everyone prefers typing to talking) as well as the ability to reach out via email at [email protected]

A scroll through player reviews has found that overall the staff are friendly and quick to respond, clearing up any problems fairly speedily. If you don’t like dealing with people (Mondays can be rough) then just trawl through their comprehensive FAQs. You’ll probably find that what you’re after is written down right there anyway.

The thing about Maneki Casino is that there isn’t very much not to like. I searched high and low for online trolls throwing shade their way, but there wasn’t much to discover. The site is clean and well-designed, the game library is solid, promotions and bonuses are generous, and payment options are vast.

Aside from the lack of an app or a landline, Maneki Casino is absolutely winning. My consensus would be to pay this lucky cat a visit — I promise it doesn’t scratch.
