Finn’s Golden Tavern

The slot has an unusual layout, with a spiral display overlaid on a treasure map. Despite the game’s heavy Irish theme, the designers have made an effort to differentiate it from all the other clover and pot of gold-dominated slots.

Instead we see Finn, who is undeniably a very cliched leprechaun, attempt to decode a pirate’s treasure map and hoping to discover the location of all the lost booty. However, things appear to still be very much in the planning stages, as the game’s background indicates to viewers that Finn’s in a tavern rather than a pirate ship.

The map in question spread across a table and surrounded by tankards of beer. The symbols are made up of a Pirate Star for the Wild, a Treasure Chest for the Scatter, a collection of gold coins offering different values, bottles, steins, mugs of beer and pots.

Finn’s Golden Tavern comes with more than enough features to keep players entertained. The slot’s spiral layout means it can be a bit complicated to get a handle on, so I’ve attempted to make things as clear as possible below.

Finn’s Golden Tavern is a Cluster Pays slot. This means that winning combinations are formed when you land winning combinations on any horizontal or vertical line of 3 or more matching symbols. If you get a win without a wild symbol, a wild is created in place of 1 of the symbols that has exploded and disappeared. If you get a win with a wild, the wild explodes and destroys the symbols vertically and horizontally adjacent to it.

The slot also engages the Avalanche Reels feature meaning symbols from winning combinations are replaced with new symbols. Players can access a wide range of betting options starting as low as C$0.10, and climbing all the way up to a huge C$500. This ought to make the game attractive to both recreational and high roller players, although the latter are likely to be somewhat put off by the low to medium volatility.

The potential wins aren’t all that impressive, with the maximum prize resting on 1,000 x, meaning a maximum reward of C$500,000 if you’re betting at the top — and let’s face it, not many players are willing to lay down such huge sums on a leprechaun-themed slot.
