Barbarian Fury

Wilds are pretty big business in this game, so it makes sense that they’ve been designated a symbol that’s dripping in power and aggression. The great brown bear can substitute for all the standard symbols when it forms part of a winning combination. That’s all pretty standard. But where it gets really exciting is that it can nudge up and down to fill the entire reel, increasing the opportunity for winning combinations exponentially. To ramp up the value even further, each nudge will also add to a multiplier. The Wild will nudge as many times as necessary in order to fill the reel.

For example, if the bear Wild lands in the top symbol only, it will nudge down 3 more places to fill the full reel. For each nudge you’re awarded a multiplier. These are 2 x, 3 x and 4 x. Of course, if the bear wild already covers 3/4 of the reel, it will only have to nudge once, which means just a 2 x multiplier. You might be thinking that a maximum multiplier of 4 x isn’t that exciting, but if you land multiple nudging Wilds in a spin, then the multipliers are added together.

As the name suggests, this feature puts our three barbarian warrior characters at front and center. If you manage to land three or more of the same barbarian then these engage in a some similar nudging action as the previous feature, ensuring that the stacked barbarians appear fully on the reels.

So what do you get for your trouble? Well, landing 3 or more will trigger a mini bonus. The barbarian symbols lock into place and the remaining reels respin. You’re already guaranteed a win regardless of what comes up in the respin, because of the 3 matching symbols locked in place. Of course, you have the opportunity for a full screen of matching stacked barbarians, which guarantees a huge payout.

Nudges feature once more in this feature, and this time they determine the amount of free spins awarded. If you land 3 or more Scatter symbols then each position of the scatter has to drop down until it hits the bottom of the grid. For each move the scatters have to make, you’re awarded 1 Free Spin. Landing three or more matching barbarians will also trigger the Respin feature described above.

The only difference is that the multiplier doesn’t reset between spins. This means you can land further nudging wilds to push the multiplier higher and higher. It’s how the game’s top prize of 8,785 time your stake can be unlocked. If you can land another Scatter during this game you’ll get the opportunity for extra spins, the number of which is again determined by how many times it nudges to reach the bottom

If you’re not particularly patient, you can buy into the Fury Spins feature, but this won’t come cheap. Players will need to put up 70 times the bet to gain access. You’ll get between 9 and 20 Fury Spins for your money, with the potential for even more if you get lucky during the game.
