Bork the Berzerker Slot - Play & Win up to $210,000!

What do you say? Are you ready for some carnage? But we must warn you! Børk the Berzerker is not for the faint of heart. This slot even comes with it’s own little disclaimer of sorts, branding itself as the Hack ‘N’ Slash Edition, so you should know what you’re getting yourself into when you start spinning those reels.

This Thunderkick slot plays on 5×3 reels with 20 paylines. The RTP is stated at a staggering 97.30% and the slots volatility is high, making you really work for those wins. Børk the Berzerker keeps it simple on the feature side but that doesn’t mean that the slot holds its punches. You will be regaled with fast-paced and action-packed gameplay that’ll make your head spin (as well as the reels).

We took to the sword and faced the vile creatures in this slot to rescue our damsel in distress (we guess we have to allow for one cliché per slot). If you want to learn more about Børk the Berzerker all you have to do is read our review below.

+ PROS

There aren’t that many features so the gameplay is straight-forward and easy to pick up

The maximum win of $210,000 is worthy of some smaller jackpot slot and certainly splendid for a video slot

The RTP of 97.30% is truly magnificent and way above average

– CONS

But players like features and some might mourn the lack of sophisticated bonus fare

The high volatility makes this slot a teasing monster that requires tons of patience if you’re waiting for the big win

The graphic style, while being interesting is fairly simple and makes this slot look a little outdated at times

Theme & Background

The biggest hint is in the name of our protagonist. Børk is an inherently Scandinavian game and that is naturally also the background for this slot. Think Vikings, mythic double headed snakes and ALIENS?…we don’t exactly know where the other two creatures place in Norse mythology, but they don’t seem terribly out of place.

One is a fearsome monster with horns, three eyes and a huge sharp-teethed mouth that could be a very scary depiction of some kind of troll. And the other one dons a trident which makes it a formidable foe for the seafaring Vikings.

Børk himself is a strong Viking warrior that goes berserk when the situation calls for it. Channeling his inner beast, there is not a monster or creature in sight that could dream of withstanding his broad sword.

Gameplay

The layout of this video slot is fairly simple with 5 reels, 3 rows and 20 paylines. But the true draw of Børk the Berzerker is that it mixes this simplicity with a fitting soundtrack and straight-forward as well as fast-paced gameplay.

The low-paying symbols are represented by Nordic runes that you could find engraved in wood or stone. There is three of them and they increase in value only slightly.

On the high-paying end we have four different symbols. Three of them are the aforementioned creatures that make Børk’s life a living hell and the fourth one is our damsel in distress who is on the run and needs some serious rescuing.

The remaining two symbols in the game will grant you the bonus features that Børk the Berzerker has to offer and if you’d like to learn all about them, just read on below.

Main Features

Expanding Wild Symbol

Our fearless protagonist moonlights as an expanding Wild when he’s not busy in his day job of slaying monsters and aiding his fellow Vikings. In the base game Børk can only appear on the third reel and if he’s part of a winning combination, he will expand over the whole reel and slay some monsters while he’s at it.

When you make it to the free spin round, Børk triples is rescue efforts and will appear on all the three middle reels slaying even more creatures while also substituting for all other symbols except the bonus symbol.

Free Spins

As in most modern Video Slots, Børk the Berzerker also offers a bonus round that’ll grant you some free spins. To enter the free spins, you’ll have to land at least three Scatter Symbols depicting some sort of shaman in an eerie violet light. The more symbols you land, the more free spins you get, like so:

Landing 3 Scatters will bag you 10 free spins
With 4 Scatters you’ll earn 15 free spins and
5 Scatters will get you a whopping 20 free spins

And remember that the Børk Wild will appear on three reels instead of just one during the free spin round. So be sure to make the most of this opportunity and bag yourself some decent wins.

Payouts and Wagering Limits

Spinning the reels in Børk the Berzerker won’t cost you an arm and a leg (that is reserved for the monsters), since you can start your bet at an economic $0.10. This bet won’t beg you the impressive maximum win of $210,000 though, so it’s a good thing that you can crank up your bet to $100 if you have the bankroll.

And a decent bankroll is indeed something you’ll need in this game. Because the high volatility of the slot demands some serious patience from its players. If you want to see a huge win, you can expect to spin the reels for quite some time. But then again, once you hit the right symbols, the payout is all the sweeter!

And the high volatility is still connected to a slot with a more than fair RTP of 97.30%. The average RTP is 96%, so you get quite a bit more for your buck with Børk.

Final Verdict

Børk the Berzerker

72%

Oh Børk, you magnificent warrior. We had so much fun slaying creatures with you. And even though the graphics might look a bit outdated and the high volatility kept us waiting for those big wins, we couldn’t help but sticking around for “just one more round”.

If you’re a fan of the Viking games from Yggdrasil, you’ll also enjoy this one and even if you’re not, you should give this rugged berserker a chance!
