Slot designers seem to rely of a few broad themes within which they elaborate and create variations. The ancient lost city theme is one of these, and one we’ve seen used time and time again. Just For The Win is known for its high quality graphics, but not necessarily for any particular originality, and that’s what you’ll find proof of here.

The reels are bedecked by beautifully crafted symbols depicting a long forgotten city in West Asia. Waterfalls and tropical climes, wild beasts and ancient carvings are the order of the day. Visually, Ivory Citadel hits the spot, and even the generic low value A, K, Q, J symbols are pleasing to look at.

However, there doesn’t seem to have been much thought given to the actual storyline, just some imagery that looks vaguely Indian, with hissing cobras and heavily tusked elephants. The scene is completed by tall mountains in the background, topped by what I can only presume is the Ivory Citadel itself. If this ancient city was once roamed by humans, they’ve long since abandoned it to the elements. The feel of mystery is completed by a rather beautiful, if slightly repetitive, soundtrack that makes for some very good low volume listening.

I love it when a slot comes packed with animated features, and Ivory Citadel doesn’t disappoint on this front. Sure, not all features are created equal, and I’ll need to dive in to each one individually to find out what they’re made of. So without further ado, here’s what you can look forward to should you choose to proceed into this lost city.

The hit frequency is about 1 in every 4.45 spins, which isn’t bad for a Medium volatility slot. Paylines are fixed, and every spin works with all 20 paylines activated. The player will simply need to select a wager from between C$0.10 and C$100. Ivory Citadel’s maximum payout doesn’t quite make it to 2,000 x, sitting rather awkwardly at 1,968 x instead. The only way to get to this level is by lining up the game logo or the Wild symbol in all positions. This is helped along by the Sticky Wild symbol, which is definitely the slot’s biggest attribute.
