Jackpot Quest

If you go by slots alone, then you’ll be forgiven for being under the impression that adventurers seem to limit themselves solely to dusty old temples concealed within overgrown jungles. In this respect, Jackpot Quest is no exception, banking on all the overdone cliches and safari style equipment.

But where things do take a fresh turn is with the game’s actual design. Packed with crisp illustrations and fabulous animation, I have to admit that I was spellbound from the first spin. The reels spin like the flipping pages of a graphic novel, complete with the oh-so-satisfying sound of rustling paper. There isn’t much else in terms of music, just the soothing sound effects of birds twittering in the trees somewhere in the distance. I couldn’t have hoped for better.

Oddly enough, our flame torch wielding hero is on a quest to recover the very coveted golden slot machine. This seems an odd item to conceal within a jungle, but hey, this is the world of slots after all. Keeping the hero symbol company on this wild adventure is a series of symbols including golden slot machines, satchels, maps, whips, a ruby talisman, and a set of Royals. In fact, the A, K, Q, J, and 10 symbols will cover the majority of the reel spaces with each spin – tolerable in the grand scheme of things.

The majority of the payouts in Jackpot Quest come from its main special feature. Thankfully this is triggered fairly easily, which means reasonable wins on a fairly regular basis. But there’s a little more to the slot than that, so I’ve set out all the feature details below.

There are 40 active lines in the game, offering a generous opportunity to make winning combinations. That being said, the slot works with just 36 symbols, so the combinations won’t be clustered together. The highest paying symbol in Jackpot Quest is the golden slot machine, which pays out 25 x your bet for 6 across a pay line. If you can fill the grid with this symbol then you’ll have the opportunity to crack the slot’s 1,000 x maximum win.

Making up a full screen of picture symbols is another way of accessing the game’s top win, but this won’t be so easy because there are no wilds in play. The ruby talisman steps in to make up for this, but it’s not quite the same because it appears so infrequently. Starting with the most valuable, and based on 6 of a kind, players get paid out 25 x for the slot machine, 15 x for the satchel, 12 x for the whip, 8 x for the map, and anything ranging from 2 x down to 0.8 x for the set of Royals.
