Legacy of Dead

Play’n GO’s interpretation of Ancient Egypt is pretty much as you’d expect. The grid is set within a sandy, glowing tomb packed with altars, burning torches and stone pillars aplenty. Across the reels are the gleaming busts of different pharaohs.

The graphics are well designed, with high quality detailing that makes for interesting things to spy and observe at as you spin those reels. That bring said, if you’ve played Book of Dead then they’ll feel chillingly familiar, with only slight changes made to the majority of the symbols.

It’s pretty obvious which your high payers are going to be. The sculpted busts of long-forgotten deities and mortals offer the most cash, these being the god Horus, a Pharaoh, Anubis, and Tutankhamen. The A, K, Q, J, and 10 symbols stand in as the not very exciting low payers. However, these have been nice styled and gilded in gold in respect of the theme, making them a less disappointing addition to the reels than you would usually get.

Legacy of Dead only offers players the chance to engage two special features, which teeters on the edge of dreary territory. In reality, it’s better than you’d expect as either feature has the opportunity to really help you take home a big prize. On top of this, both are fairly easily engaged, which is a nice change of pace.

Play’n Go is making players work for the 5,000 x maximum prize with a very high volatility ranking — the highest that this provider offers. But don’t despair, because this slot doesn’t make you wait around for any special features in order to get rewarded. Thanks to high value symbols, even base game wins can put a smile on your face.

Tutankhamen pays out 500 times the stake for five of a kind and the old guy is also key to the game’s top payout potential. However, the most desirable symbol in the game is the burial chamber icon. It plays several roles and also pays out 1 x, 10 x, 100 x, and 500 x the stake when 2 or more of a kind land. It’s also the game’s Wild symbol and will substitute for any other symbol from the paytable, Finally, this dextrous symbol also stands in as the Scatter, triggering special features.

More big money opportunities are locked behind the Free Spins game. You’ll need 3 or more of the aforementioned Scatter to get things started with 8 Free Spins. Aside from triggering the bonus game, 3, 4, and 5 scatters also reward players with 2 x, 20 x, and 200 x their stake.
