Ruby Casino Queen Slot Game - Win Up To 6,411x Your Bet

Life always seems to boil down to the lure of a beautiful woman. And Ruby Casino Queen embraces that trope with open arms. Microgaming teamed up with Just For The Win to bring us this flashy, bright and somewhat sigh-inducing slot. Everything about it is shiny, from the glitz of the polished symbols, to the sheen in Ruby’s hair.

And just like most beautiful women, this slot carries a fairly high risk of seeing you out of pocket. With high volatility and an RTP of 96.03%, there’s every chance you’ll lose your shirt, but you’re just as likely to leave the casino with a quality trophy on your arm. Read on to find out if this queen will steal more than just your heart.

Ruby Casino Queen - Theme and Background

If the slot’s title wasn’t enough of an indication, Ruby Casino Queen is all about that glitzy, tacky Vegas charm. And Vegas wouldn’t be Vegas if there wasn’t a scantily-clad woman hanging around.

Enter Ruby. With her long blonde tresses, golden tiara and improbable Xena Warrior Princess-inspired outfit, she hangs around the reels throwing pink casino chips in the air.

The backdrop is a splash of simple violet; perhaps it’s meant to be velvet. But really, apart from the design of our host Ruby, very little effort has gone into the other graphics.

Across the reels are diamonds, hearts, spades and clubs hewn from colored gems. You’ll also find plain old diamonds and golden sevens. The line-up is obviously completed by Ruby herself, in a single static pose, who also happens to be the symbol fetching the highest price.

The entire glittering scene is offset by annoying jazz music that made me feel like I was on hold waiting to discuss an error on my phone bill. The combination didn’t have me very excited to get playing, but play on I did.

Ruby Casino Queen - Gameplay

Special features are plentiful here, and more importantly the developers have kept them simple to understand. That said, there’s a fair bit to get through, so let’s get started.

Three Types of Wilds

Ruby Casino Queen isn’t content with just one Wild. The Queen demands three. These are:

The Multiplier Wild (Available only in the free spin feature, this is the wild that lands on the wheels and boosts the multiplier by 1x each time)
The Sticky Wild (Available only in the free spin feature, the third reel will become a multiplier sticky wild, remaining in place until the feature ends)
The Standard Wild (This is the regular wild available in the base game that substitutes for all symbols except the scatter/free spins symbol)

Free Spins

You won’t mistake these symbols since they’re emblazoned with the words ‘free spins’. To trigger the feature you’ll need to land 3 symbols in a single spin. This won’t be as easy as you think because they only appear on reels 2, 3 and 4.

If you manage this you’ll be rewarded with 9 free spins where any riches you collect are a risk free gift to add to your prize pot. The best part about these spins is that they work with a multiplier.

At kick off you’ll begin with a 2x multiplier, meaning a doubled up pay day if you hit winning combinations. This multiplier can rise all the way up to 6x and it’s increased by 1x each time a multiplier sticky wild lands on the reels during the free spins.

Landing these also gives you an additional 3 free spins. If you’re really lucky and you manage a full grid of sticky wilds during the free spins feature and you’ll get paid out between 400x and 6,411x your stake.

Re-Spins

If you land two free spin features, you’ll sometimes be allowed to retry for the third. This is a random feature, bestowed on players as and when Ruby feels like it.

The remaining reel will go again and if you land a free spin symbol then you’ll enter the feature. If not, then better luck next time.

Ruby Casino Queen - Payouts and Wagering Limits

Ruby Casino Queen lets players place bets from 0.10 to 50.00, and this is a smaller range then you’ll usually get, probably due to the high volatility of the slot. Gameplay is very rewarding thanks to three types of Wilds and the use of a multiplier during the special feature.

In the base game wins are fairly small so you want to land those free spin symbols as quickly as possible. The regular Wilds in the base game pay out up to 20 x your bet. Ruby can earn you anything between 8 x and 20 x, while the spades, hearts, clubs and diamonds are all low payers, coming in at 1.5 x your stake.

Sevens come in at middle of the road, rewarding the player 6 x the bet for winning combinations. The maximum win of 6,411 x your bet can only be achieved during the Free Spins feature.
