Brightstar Casino

Today we’re looking at the night sky in hopes that we don’t get blinded by the amazingness that is Brightstar Casino. Those are not our words, but if you name your casino like that, you sure have a lot of confidence.

Well, color us intrigued. We ventured out to find out if we really have a bright star on our hands here. We checked the welcome bonus, the promotions and more pragmatic casino aspects, such as banking options and the customer service.

Read our review to find out if Brightstar will blind you with its shine or if it’s a dying star, ready to flame out.

Brightstar Casino offers a pretty decent welcome bonus for its players.

It’s split over your first three deposits, and goes like this:

Wildfire Wednesday

If you’re a new player at Brightstar Casino and the welcome offer didn’t exactly make you all warm and fuzzy, this trailblazing offer might do the trick.

Every Wednesday, the casino chooses some lucky new players and offers them a personalized mystery reward. In order to qualify, you will have to subscribe to their emails and keep your eyes peeled in your inbos.

Blog

An entertaining blog is always a nice addition to any casino website and at Brightstar you can find posts about anything related to slots, winner stories and some handy guides that you can use to make the most of your time at the slots and tables of the casino.

Twice Wicked

This offer will pop up in your inbox as well and it is tailored to your playing style, so we can’t tell you exactly what the reward entails, because it might be different for you.

What we can tell you though is, that you can claim it not only once but twice between Monday and Thursday, so go nuts!

Brightstar offers a plethora of games from so many providers, you might wonder, where they found them all.  You can filter the games by several categories as well as by provider and if you already know what you want to play next, just type the name of the game into the search bar.

You have all that you could ask for in an online casino. From slots, to different table games and a live casino, so you won’t get bored anytime soon at Brightstar Casino. The biggest provider among the slots studios has to be Microgaming, but there’s also a bunch of other providers that you might want to check out, such as ELK Studios and Blueprint.

With Microgaming, you have the choice of classics, as well as newer releases, so you can switch between Jurassic Park and Jurassic World, or Jungle Jim and Emoticoins. There are so many games to choose from that you might not move on to other providers in a while…but you should.

Lake’s Five from ELK Studios is a delightful Ocean’s 11 satire and in Wild Toro by the same provider, you can be the bull for once and kick the Matador’s butt.

You can take a seat on a bunch of tables in the casino section at Brightstar. Here you can choose between a whole bunch of roulette games, including the wonderfully quirky Mike Tyson roulette where the (in)famous former boxer barks the “rien ne va plus” and other orders at you.

Blackjack, Poker and Baccarat are available as well and you also have different variations that you can choose from.

The live casino isn’t overly extensive but there are around 40 different live tables where you can hone your skills against charming live dealers.

And there is also a selection of progressive jackpots on offer, such as Treasure Nile and Sir Cashalot, as well as Lightning Box entries Dolphin Gold and Chili Gold.

There’re plenty of payment options to choose from for players that deal in dollars and we’re happy to say right off the bat that Interac and ecoPayz are among them.

Other options include credit cards Visa, Maestro and Mastercard, e-wallets Skrill and Neteller, as well as traditional bank transfers and the prepaid voucher Paysafecard.

You can deposit as little as $20 and that is also the minimum amount for withdrawals. We have to say that some options, such as ecoPayz, Trustly and bank transfer require a minimum withdrawal of $50, though.

Withdrawal requests are usually processed within a day, but the transfer period might stretch to up to 10 days, if your chosen method is the bank transfer. The usual time is 3 days, with Skrill and Neteller needing only one day. For most of the methods, you also have to factor in the pending period of about 3 days. Take all of this together and it might take Brightstar up to 2 weeks to fully carry out one payment. That is awfully long in our fast-paced society.

Your withdrawals are also limited to $3,000 per week and $6,000 per month, so if you get a big win one day, it might take you forever to find that in your bank account. We’re not sure how that works with responsible gaming guidelines. Brightstar should really work on that.

You have to wager your bonuses at Brightstar 50 times in 30 days. That is a tall order and it is a higher requirement than in most other casinos, where the wagering requirements range between 30 and 40 times.

And even if you do manage to fulfil the requirements, the conversion to real money for any bonus winnings are capped at 5 times the bonus amount plus $20. In the case of the welcome bonus at Brightstar, you will never be able to withdraw more than $1,020.

Those terms can be found in the small print of the bonus conditions and appear quite harsh to us. Additionally, there is a number of games that only contribute very little to the wagering requirements, mostly the table games and there’s also a bunch of high RTP slots that don’t contribute at all.

With all those requirements, we have to ask ourselves, if it even makes sense to accept a bonus offer at this casino. In most cases, you’ll be better off just playing with your own money, because then you can withdraw all your wins right away (well…in installments of $3,000 a week.)

You can get in contact with a support agent at Brightstar every day around the clock. They’re available in a live chat, but you can also write them an email if necessary.

A lot of more general questions get answered in the extensive FAQ section, but if your problem or issue isn’t mentioned there, an agent will surely be able to help you in a jiffy.

The agents we came across were helpful, friendly and patient on top of clearly knowing their stuff. That is all you can ask for in an online casino.

Well, we do have to say that the name promised a bit more than the casino could deliver. Brightstar is by no means a bad online casino but it also definitely isn’t as bright as it would like itself to think.

The welcome bonus is rather bland and the attached bonus conditions made our toes curl. But if you can look past that, you’ll find a solid casino with plenty of games, some interesting promotions and all the important banking options.

If you’re looking for an exciting welcome offer, Brightstar might not be for you, but for everybody else, it might be worth a try.
