LuckLand Casino

LuckLand Casino isn’t new to the scene. Launched in 2015 you’re likely to have heard some negative press about this online casino. But before you click away to the next contender, I’m here to tell you that the tides may have turned for LuckLand. That’s because it’s been bought out by experienced group, Grasswood Entertainments. Today it’s running with a brushed up image and the full force of an experienced operator behind the sails, and all appears to be in shipshape condition. With a clean license from the Malta Gaming Authority and specializing in slots and scratch cards, we think LuckLand is worth a second look.

LuckLand Casino: The Highlights

• Welcome bonus spread over first four deposits
• Wide selection of slots and scratchcards
• CAD accepted and Canada-friendly payment options available

LuckLand promises to be the luckiest place online, and it gives all new players a leg up with a welcome package split over their first 4 deposits. The generous total of C$1,000 and 200 free spins is split up like this:

• First deposit of 100% up to C$400 and 40 Free Spins everyday for 5 days
• Second deposit of 50% up to C$200
• Third deposit of 25% up to C$200
• Fourth deposit of 25% up to C$200

That means you’ll have to stick around a while if you want to take advantage of the full offer. There are also a couple important things to keep in mind. First off, your free spins will land in your account automatically each day and will be only be valid for 24 hours. If you don’t use them, then you lose them. Secondly, these free spins can only be used on selected games. In this case cross your fingers to hit it lucky on Starburst, Gonzo’s Quest, Aloha, Twin Spin and Red Riding Hood. Finally, all bonus cash and bonus free spins are subject to wagering requirements of 35 x.

If you’re after a wager-free win then you could try your luck with ‘The Challenge’. LuckLand will log your win/bet performance, and if you make it to the top of the leaderboard you could be in for some big prizes including an iPhone and hundreds of wager free C$.

LuckLand Casino’s VIP program won’t be providing any shivers of anticipation, and you’re guaranteed to have experienced something similar many times before. They’ve named it the ‘Exclusive Club’ — a rather corporate name for such a jolly site. Players earn reward points that can be converted into free bonus cash as you climb the VIP ladder.

There are 7 levels, all the way up to Prestige status, with the top prizes including cash back offers. Quite frankly it all seems a little onerous, and I can’t imagine how much betting would be required to start seeing some sort of valued reward. But I suppose it’s an added bonus if you were planning on playing at LuckLand anyway.

The best thing about non-independent online casinos is the fact that players usually have access to a well rounded selection of games from top providers. LuckLand is no exception, giving its members the pick of all the top titles out there. But that variety isn’t equal across all the games on offer. With an obvious lean toward slots and instant games, these take up a large chunk of the 800 games found in LuckLand’s catalogue.

Slot game enthusiasts have the pick of the litter with both 3 reel and 5 reel games on offer. These also come in a variety of themes, from straight up classics to more elaborate slots with storylines. Because LuckLand teamed up with the likes of Microgaming, Netent, Neogames, and Amaya (among many others), you’re certain to find your favorite slots, and maybe some new favorites too.

Scratch cards take up almost as much room as the slots at LuckLand, with a huge selection of animated fun. These are awesome for players who want a quick game, or enjoy the thrill of instant gratification. So if this is your bag, you’ll find a seemingly endless selection at your fingertips.

If you prefer to place your fortunes in the hands of strategy over luck, then you’ll also find a small but satisfying choice of video poker variants. LuckLand hosts a few different versions including Deuces Wild, Joker Poker, Jacks or Better, and Bonus Poker.

Or do you prefer the excitement of table games? These too are available, though you might have some difficulty finding them. LuckLand seem to have opted for some rather haphazard labelling in their navigation, but you will find a collection of roulette and blackjack games mixed in with some Live Casino and other titles. Go for popular options like Classic Roulette, Super Fun 21, Vegas Strip, Spanish 21, and Blackjack Switch. You can even opt for more modern options like Football Studio or 3D European Roulette.

For full on, immersive fun then step into LuckLand’s rather small selection of live casino games. Despite the fact that you won’t be bowled over by options, you can still take advantage of live entertainment across blackjack, roulette and baccarat.

Most of LuckLand Casino’s games are available in demo mode. This is great because you get to learn how a game works before playing for real — a strategy I recommend to every player. The site responds to all devices, including mobile and tablet, and you won’t need to download any software to get playing, you just need an updated version of FlashPlayer running in the background.

Canadians won’t be short on deposit and withdrawal options, with LuckLand Casino offering a range of methods. Unfortunately instant withdrawals are not a given, and a couple of the options will take up to 8 days to deliver your funds — so be sure to check this out before you commit to a method. Another thing to note is that the site’s minimum and maximum deposit and withdrawal limits vary between payment methods. But you’ll find details on each one in the FAQ section.

LuckLand Casino consider themselves to be very big on customer support. They’ve even plastered the acronym C.A.R.E on their site. If you were wondering what that stands for it’s ‘Customers Are Really Everything’ — have you cringed yet?

But jokes aside, the site really does have an above average FAQ section, and it’s probably the first time that I would strongly recommend players check these out before firing off questions using any other methods. But if you really, really hate reading or your question is most definitely fairly complex, then you can jump on to their Live Chat service. Unfortunately, despite being open daily, it isn’t available all hours of the day, and Canadian players will have to work around the timeframe of 8am to 1am CET. Your last port of call is sending out an Email, a perfectly valid option unless your issue is time sensitive.

I feel that LuckLand Casino’s site doesn’t flow as well as it should, with game types not labeled clearly enough to help players quickly find what they need. But if you’re not to fussed about a sleek site, then you’ll probably enjoy the abundance of cartoon animations that flash constantly on every page of this site. In terms of games on offer it’s all great, particularly if you’re a fan of slots and instant games like scratch cards.

However, the promotions and loyalty program available are average at best. High wagering requirements drag things down and the only great prizes pit you against every single other LuckLand player, so the odds of winning are pretty low. The Exclusive Club is unlikely to reward you in any huge way, even if you stick around a while.
