Piñata Bucks

When you think of a piñata you think of bright colors, children’s parties, loud music and plenty of good times. Well, Piñata Bucks definitely offers two out of four, with vibrant colors and soundtrack that makes you want to get up and dance. It could also offer the possibility of a good time but that will depend on how well you fare when playing this slot.

The first thing you’ll notice after loading up the game is the unorthodox layout of the grid. It incorporates Lightning Box’s signature Reelfecta™, which essentially swaps the traditional third reel for a 4×4 grid with 16 symbols. This increases your win potential, offering 16 chances on 1 reel to be exact.

Across the reels are a series of cheerful symbols associated with Mexican culture like bottles of tequila, lizards, cactus plants, a female dancer, and a Mariachi guitarist. You’ll also catch the old A, K, Q, J, 10 and 9 keeping company with the party brigade — but in fairness these have been designed up to blend in very nicely with the rest of the symbols.

The sunset horizon symbol is a Wild and it substitutes for all symbols except the piñata symbol (which is also the bonus symbol). The backdrop appears to be a vibrant Mexican Plaza, all cobbled streets and squat buildings under the baking sun. A good place for a little break I’d say.

There’s only one special feature in Piñata Bucks, which makes the game sound boring even though it’s not. What it definitely does mean is that it will be easy for me to explain things to you guys. Here’s how you make money by virtually attacking a fake donkey.

Players ready to have a bash at the piñata will have to line up their bets anywhere between 0.10 and 0.50. That’s a decent range, though not necessarily likely to satisfy the high rollers out there. Don’t be fooled by the happy go lucky theme, this slot is high volatility and you’ll definitely start to feel the heat a few spins in. It does pay out fairly frequently in the base game, but the big bucks come during the special feature.

You’ll sweat it out for a while before you land those 6 piñatas. It’s worth the wait though, because once you get there you’re almost guaranteed a tidy win that will cover your previous spend. At 109,750 x your bet sitting at the max, there’s a lot to hope for. During the Piñata Lock Spins feature you’ll also have a chance at the grand jackpot which will pay out at 500x your bet. This isn’t difficult to achieve as the piñatas land pretty heavily during the free spins.
